Sri Lanka, April 30 -- Sri Lanka's Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Ret.), met with Pakistan's Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, on the sidelines of the 5th annual Sri Lanka-Pakistan Bilateral Defence Dialogue in Islamabad this week.
The high-level discussions aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation, promote understanding of regional security, and explore defence collaboration opportunities, said the Ministry of Defence.
The dialogue reflects the growing importance of partnerships in maintaining stability and promoting peace in the South Asian region, they added.
The Dialogue, which began on Monday (28), ends today (30).
