Sri Lanka, April 30 -- Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando, announced that Sri Lanka's official foreign reserves have increased to $6.5 billion by the end of March 2025

Speaking at a press conference today (30) on the island's program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Deputy Minister stated that projections indicate these reserves are expected to surpass $7 billion by next year.

He further noted that this growth signifies the successful progression of Sri Lanka's IMF program.
