Sri Lanka, Dec. 6 -- A diplomatic briefing, co-chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism, Vijitha Herath, was held yesterday (5) to update foreign diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited to Sri Lanka on the national recovery and rebuilding efforts following the adverse weather caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

Prime Minister Amarasuriya announced that Sri Lanka has moved out of the emergency response phase and is now firmly focused on recovery and reconstruction.

She expressed profound appreciation for the swift support and solidarity extended by all international partners during the initial crisis.
