Sri Lanka, Nov. 29 -- The Tourism Development Authority reports that 1,776,889 foreign tourists have visited Sri Lanka so far this year.

India tops the list, contributing 357,279 tourists to the total. Other countries with significant arrivals include Russia, Germany, Britain, Australia, China, and France.

The steady flow of tourists highlights the country's continued appeal as a global travel destination.
