Sri Lanka, July 6 -- Sri Lanka has received a total of US$ 1.74 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), according to Dr. Kapila Senanayake, Director General of the Department of Fiscal Policy.
Senanayake made this announcement this afternoon (6) at a press briefing held at the Department of Government Information to clarify the current status of the IMF's Extended Fund Facility for Sri Lanka.
He noted that the fifth tranche, amounting to US$ 350 million, was received on July 3.
