Sri Lanka, Sept. 3 -- Foreign Minister, Vijitha Herath, is taking steps to inform resident ambassadors and diplomats about the country's progress in protecting human rights, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring equal application of the law for all citizens.
During a meeting at the Ministry yesterday (02), Foreign Minister Herath briefed Colombo-based diplomats on Sri Lanka's advancements in human rights protection and legal enforcement.
He urged the international community to take note of the progress made in these areas and engage in a productive dialogue.
The discussion was also attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Justice and National Integration, the Attorney General's Department, the Office on Missing Persons (OMP)...
