Sri Lanka, Jan. 4 -- A two-day international conference organised by the SAARC Journalist Forum commenced today (4) at Nalanda University in India.
The conference aims to urge regional governments to uphold international standards of media ethics and safeguard the constitutional rights of journalists.
During the event, special attention was given to the current media landscape in Sri Lanka.
Addressing the gathering, President of the SAARC Journalist Forum, Raju Lama, spoke on the importance of media freedom and freedom of expression.
