Sri Lanka, April 15 -- Converting shipwrecks off the coast of Colombo and other undersea areas in Sri Lanka into diving sites could be a key strategy to attract high-spending tourists to the island nation, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

Shipwreck diving and its promotion are identified as crucial components in the country's marine tourism roadmap, which was released on April 10th.
