Sri Lanka, Dec. 27 -- Sri Lanka has strengthened its position as one of the most preferred international destinations for Indian travellers during the year-end and New Year holiday period of 2025, ranking third among the top 10 overseas destinations, according to a new report by MakeMyTrip.

The report analyses international travel bookings made between December 20, 2025, and January 5, 2026, and compares them with the same period last year.

It highlights a continued surge in short-haul international travel, driven by relaxed visa norms, proximity, and growing familiarity with nearby destinations.
