Sri Lanka, July 2 -- Sri Lanka Customs' Narcotics Control Unit has seized a consignment of drugs valued at over Rs. 60 million, hidden in courier parcels sent via international express services.
The parcels, received between January 2024 and June 2025 through Colombo Cargo Express from the U.S., Canada, and Malaysia, contained over 1.1 kilogrammes of cocaine, over 1.6 kilogrammes of kush, and 4 vials of cannabis oil.
Customs officers carried out the inspection on June 25 after the parcels remained unclaimed for an extended period.
The seized drugs have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
