SriLanka, Nov. 17 -- Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, today (17) stated in Parliament that efforts have been made to secure new investment opportunities with 150 foreign companies in Sri Lanka, in addition to informing 2,000 foreign companies about investment prospects in the country.

Speaking during the Committee Stage debate of the 2026 Appropriation Bill, Minister Herath mentioned that in a short span of one year, the Ministry has been able to sign approximately 70 diplomatic-level Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) representing countries from all regions of the world
