Sri Lanka, July 23 -- Sri Lanka and Pakistan are set to reinforce their defence partnerships across several areas, following high-level meetings in Colombo. The Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Syed Aamer Raza, met with Sri Lanka's Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General (Rtd) Aruna Jayasekara, and Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal (Rtd) Sampath Thuyacontha.
During discussions with the Deputy Minister of Defence, talks focused on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation, with a particular emphasis on capacity building and exchanging best practices.
