Sri Lanka, Jan. 23 -- Members of the Association of Medical Specialists (AMS) will not participate in the trade union action scheduled to begin today by the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA). The AMS issued an official announcement confirming that specialist doctors intend to perform their duties as usual despite media reports of a strike.
The association expressed strong opposition to any actions that might delay or disrupt government programs aimed at resolving long-standing issues faced by medical specialists.
