Sri Lanka, April 17 -- With the exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic to commence tomorrow (18), special traffic plans are now in place in Kandy city.
Police have implemented vehicle entry restrictions to Kandy city from 6:00 AM today (17) to minimise potential congestion.
Over 10,000 police officers will be deployed to ensure the safety of devotees.
Additionally, 50 selected schools in the Kandy, Wattegama, and Denuwara education zones will be closed from April 21 to 25.
Police have designated six parking areas outside the city limits for vehicles arriving for the exposition.
Accordingly, vehicles arriving from Gampola and Colombo can be parked at the Gatambe Stadium and Gannoruwa Road.
