Sri Lanka, Aug. 28 -- A meeting was held this morning (28) between the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea, Miyon Lee, and the General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), Tilvin Silva, at the party's head office in Pelawatta.
During the meeting, Ambassador Lee praised the programme of the new government led by President Anura Dissanayake.
Ambassador Lee noted that diplomatic relations between South Korea and Sri Lanka have been maintained without interruption since 1977 and expressed a commitment to strengthening them further.
She also stated that South Korea would provide its experience and technical assistance to the fullest for the development of Sri Lanka's industrial and agricultural sectors.
