Sri Lanka, Jan. 20 -- The Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRDK) informed the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) that the previously mandatory second medical examination for job seekers is no longer required.

This directive, effective from January 1, 2026, applies to individuals who have already qualified for employment and are listed on the official recruitment website, awaiting job agreements for their second year of eligibility.

Under the standard procedure, workers must pass an initial medical test after qualifying through the language proficiency exam to be registered on the Employment Permit System (EPS) website.
