Sri Lanka, Jan. 13 -- The daughter of the late Sothi Upali will remain in custody until January 23 following her arrest in Malabe with 20,000 milligrams of 'ICE'.
Kaduwela Magistrate Aruna Indrajith Buddhadasa issued the order after the suspect appeared in court at the conclusion of a seven-day detention period.
The suspect, identified as A.D. Prasanthika Nirmani, also known as 'Sigithi' and a resident of Madivela, Kotte, faced the magistrate yesterday (12).
Further investigations into the matter continue under the direction of Malabe Police Station Chief Inspector Pradeep Wijesinghe and Sub-Inspector Dulanjana, supervised by Senior Superintendent of Police Mangala Dehideniya and Superintendent of Police Lasitha Abeywickrama.
