Sri Lanka, June 22 -- The Ministry of Power and Energy has announced revised tariffs for solar power systems entering into new agreements, effective from June 16.

This decision, based on a Cabinet approval from June 16, was communicated via a letter from the Ministry on the June 20.

The new rates for solar power fed into the national grid are as follows:

Up to 5 kW: Rs. 20.90 per unit

5 kW - 20 kW: Rs. 19.61 per unit

20 kW - 100 kW: Rs. 17.46 per unit

100 kW - 500 kW: Rs. 15.49 per unit

500 kW - 1 MW: Rs. 15.07 per unit

Above 1 MW: Rs. 14.46 per unit

Previously, the rates were Rs. 27.60 per unit for systems up to 500 kW and Rs. 23.18 per unit for systems above 500 kW.
