Sri Lanka, Sept. 3 -- Former Member of Parliament Sanjeeva Edirimanna has announced that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has a standing invitation for members who have left the party to return.
Speaking at a press conference today (3), Edirimanna explained that the party's doors are "open 24/7."
He stated, "It's not a hope that those who left will return, but a wish that they should come back."
He added that the party holds no ill will toward those who departed, noting they have not even used a term for those who left or "divorce" to describe their departure, as they value the bond with them.
