Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- The Colombo District Court deferred the ruling on a case filed by Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekera, who seeks an order allowing him to function as the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) without interference. While the court intended to deliver the decision today, it rescheduled the announcement for February 17.

Dayasiri Jayasekera asserts that the District Court previously issued orders recognising him as the General Secretary of the SLFP. He filed this specific complaint requesting the court to issue necessary directives to ensure he can perform his duties in that capacity without obstruction.
