Sri Lanka, June 18 -- The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has suspended the party membership of Narahenpige Susil Kumara Costa, a member who was elected with the highest number of votes in the Kolonnawa Municipal Council.

Costa had expressed his support for the National People's Power (NPP) in the establishment of the Kolonnawa Municipal Council.

This disciplinary action was announced through a statement signed by the General Secretary of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Ranjith Madduma Bandara.
