Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- Six people have lost their lives in a series of tragic road accidents reported across Morawewa, Kilinochchi, Anuradhapura, Walasmulla, and Aralaganwila, according to Sri Lanka Police.

In Paranthan, along the A9 road in Kilinochchi, a lorry collided with a bus before striking a nearby motorcycle, killing the rider and pillion passenger, aged 25 and 27, from Paranthan and Muttur.

In Morawewa's Avwanagar area, a 71-year-old cyclist from Thambalagamuwa was fatally injured after being hit by a motorcycle.

In Anuradhapura, near the Malwathu Oya iron bridge, a 26-year-old from Galenbindunuwewa died when his motorcycle veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
