Sri Lanka, Jan. 23 -- Police arrested six suspects, including a woman, in connection with a high-value housebreaking in Narahenpita where property worth over Rs 11.6 million was stolen. The robbery occurred on January 18, and investigations led to the initial capture of a 40-year-old man in possession of a stolen gold necklace yesterday afternoon.
Subsequent operations resulted in the arrest of the remaining suspects. Authorities recovered several high-value items, including three wristwatches valued at approximately Rs 6.2 million, a pair of white gold earrings worth nearly Rs 2 million, a diamond necklace, and two bottles of perfume.
