Sri Lanka, June 7 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts an enhancement of showery conditions in the southwestern part of Sri Lanka starting from the 10th of June.

Strong gusty winds are also expected across the island and in the surrounding sea areas.

The public is advised to pay close attention to future forecasts from the Department.

Meanwhile, several spells of showers will occur today (7) in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers may also occur at a few places in the Northern and Uva provinces and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the afternoon or night.
