Sri Lanka, Jan. 11 -- Showers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, Uva, Eastern and Central provinces and Hambantota district tomorrow (12), according to the Department of Meteorology.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere after 1.00 pm.

Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in Eastern, Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.

The general public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
