Sri Lanka, Jan. 13 -- Several spells of rain may occur today (13) in the North, North-Central, Uva, Eastern, and Central provinces according to a statement released by the Department of Meteorology.

Additionally, showers or thundershowers are likely in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as the Galle and Matara districts, after 1:00 PM.

The department noted that fairly heavy falls exceeding 50 mm might occur in some locations within these areas.

Furthermore, misty conditions are expected during the early morning hours in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva provinces, along with the Galle, Matara, and Kurunegala districts.
