Sri Lanka, Jan. 26 -- A 24-year-old man from the Athgala area was taken into custody by the Nawalapitiya Police Corruption Prevention Unit yesterday (25) for the alleged sale of cannabis-infused "Madana Modaka" stimulants. Officers noted that the suspect operated a prepared-food stall within Nawalapitiya town.

The suspect targeted school children, selling the illegal substances at high prices. Criminal investigation officers apprehended him through a coordinated sting operation involving an undercover agent.

Police discovered 30 stimulant balls in the suspect's possession at the time of the arrest. Authorities intend to produce the individual before the Nawalapitiya Magistrate's Court.
