Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- The wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Shiranthi Rajapaksa, arrived at the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) today.

Investigators summoned her to record a statement concerning the ongoing probe into the "Siriliya Saviya" project. While originally ordered to appear on the 27th, she requested a two-week extension through her lawyers. Following that request, authorities scheduled her appearance for today to proceed with the inquiry.
