Sri Lanka, June 23 -- First-year students at the South Eastern University in Oluvil are reporting severe ragging incidents.
Students allege that a group of third-year students entered their hostel rooms around 2:00 AM last week and subjected them to serious harassment, resulting in one student requiring medical treatment.
Attention on ragging in Sri Lankan universities has intensified following the tragic incident involving a Sabaragamuwa University student on April 29.
