Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Seven students were admitted to the Kalutara Teaching Hospital yesterday after an argument between two groups of schoolboys from Walatara Maha Vidyalaya and Aluthgama Padagoda Maha Vidyalaya escalated into violence. Aluthgama Police report that the incident occurred near the Padagoda Maha Vidyalaya premises.

A teacher from Walatara Maha Vidyalaya lodged a complaint stating that her students, who were attending a history seminar for G.C.E. Ordinary Level candidates at the Padagoda school, were assaulted by a group of students from the host institution. Investigators believe the altercation began following a verbal dispute during the seminar.
