Sri Lanka, Feb. 21 -- Following the shooting at the Colombo Magistrate's Court yesterday, security at the Court of Appeal complex will be tightened.

The decision was made during a special meeting chaired by Acting President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Mohamed Lafar Tahir, this afternoon. Deputy Inspector General of Police Jagath Nishantha, the Marshal of the Colombo High Court Complex, and representatives of the Colombo Bar Association were present.

All individuals, including lawyers, entering the Court of Appeal complex will undergo strict security checks, including mandatory screening through a special scanner at the entrance. Registrar Sanjeewa Fernando urged lawyers and the public to cooperate.
