Sri Lanka, Feb. 14 -- A secret witness appeared before the Fort Magistrate's Court today (13) regarding an alleged money laundering case linked to the printing of T-shirts worth over Rs. 6 million in 2014, purportedly for tourism promotion.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) reported the matter to the court, stating that the incident occurred during the tenure of former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa.

It has been revealed that a former chairman of the Tourism Board provided the testimony as a secret witness. The witness appeared at around 2:00 pm and testified for over three hours.
