Sri Lanka, May 18 -- Rugby fans are gearing up for a thrilling showdown at the Royal College Sports Complex in Colombo today (18).

Isipathana College will face Trinity College, Kandy, in the highly anticipated final of the Schools Rugby Knockouts.

Defending champions Isipathana, known as the Green Machine, boast an impressive record of 12 knockout titles and are aiming for their 13th victory.

This marks their 29th appearance and fourth consecutive time in a knockout final.

However, history favours Trinity, who have claimed the knockout title three times - in 1987, 1993, and 2011 - defeating Isipathana in all those finals.

Trinity will be looking to maintain their unbeaten record.

If they win, they will be claiming their fourth title...
