Sri Lanka, April 25 -- A schoolgirl from the Kirankulam area of Batticaloa has died after suddenly falling ill at school.

The 16-year-old student passed away after being admitted to the Kalavanchikudi Base Hospital.

Reports indicate that the student suddenly fainted and collapsed while at school and was subsequently taken to the Kalavanchikudi Base Hospital for treatment.
