Srilanka, Nov. 18 -- Moratuwa Police officers arrested a teacher from a well-known school in the Moratuwa yesterday (17), following a complaint that a school student was sexually abused.

The complaint states that the teacher abused a 14-year-old student.

The school principal was also arrested for allegedly concealing the incident, based on a complaint made by the student's parents.

The arrested teacher is a 59-year-old man from the Baduraliya area, who was in charge of school transport supervision.

The suspect and the principal are scheduled to be presented before the Moratuwa Magistrate's Court today (18).
