Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur after 2:00 PM today (24) in the Southern province and the Ratnapura, Monaragala, and Kalutara districts, according to a statement from the Department of Meteorology.

Mainly fair weather will prevail across the rest of the island.

The department requests that the public take necessary precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
