Sri Lanka, Jan. 22 -- The executive, legislature, and judiciary, along with an independent media, must operate within democratic frameworks, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa stated. He made these remarks while addressing journalists regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding the Attorney General.

He expressed firm opposition to the arbitrary removal of the Attorney General or any other government officials. Premadasa characterised such actions as a deliberate process being carried out by the government, emphasising that his party stands strongly against any undemocratic dismissals.
