Sri Lanka, April 4 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has accused the current government of disregarding his earlier warning about a possible increase in US tariffs on Sri Lanka.
Speaking at the annual convention of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya held (03) at Hyde Park, Colombo, Premadasa said he had cautioned the government months ago and vowed to intervene to protect Sri Lankan exporters from the resulting crisis.
During the convention, General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara presented proposals to submit the party convention report, transfer the powers of the National Executive Committee to the Working Committee, and appoint the party leader as per the party constitution.
