Sri Lanka, May 16 -- Ten students who were arrested in connection with the ragging-related death of a second-year student at Sabaragamuwa University have been further remanded until May 29.
The remand order was issued today following the suspects' appearance before the Balangoda Magistrate's Court.
The tragic incident occurred on April 29 when Charith Dilshan, a second-year student from the Faculty of Technology Engineering at Sabaragamuwa University, took his own life.
A letter, believed to have been written by the student prior to his death, detailed his distress and humiliation experienced during a ragging incident at the university hostel.
