Sri Lanka, Dec. 17 -- The Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), Sajeewa Nandana Kanakaratne, states that November season cards and school uniforms are not mandatory for students using SLTB buses in areas affected by the disaster.
All bus depots in these regions received instructions to provide transportation facilities to students even if they are in casual clothes, ensuring they can travel to and from school as before.
The SLTB Chairman mentions that this decision follows reports that a significant number of students in these areas lost their homes, uniforms, and season cards in the disaster. Consequently, the SLTB is committed to ensuring these students have the necessary transport to continue their education.
