Sri Lanka, March 6 -- Royal College declared at 319/7 in their first innings on the opening day of the 146th Battle of the Blues. Rehan Peiris led the charge with a brilliant 158, while Thevindu Wewalwala contributed 48. Kavindu Dias (2/71) and Darien Diego (2/43) were the pick of the bowlers for S. Thomas' College.

At stumps, S. Thomas' College reached 32/0 in their first innings.
