Sri Lanka, April 29 -- The public can now register alms givings (dansal) they are hoping to work off during the upcoming Vesak festival.

The Public Health Inspectors' Union of Sri Lanka (PHIUSL) advises all individuals and organisations planning to conduct alms givings to register at the office of the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) that covers the area where the Dansala will be located.

The PHIUSL emphasised that registration will be open until May 9.
