Sri Lanka, Aug. 29 -- The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr Harini Amarasuriya, says that the teacher recruitment exam will go ahead once the Supreme Court concludes its hearings on four pending cases.
The legal proceedings have been the main reason for the delay in hiring unemployed graduates as teachers.
Speaking at a meeting with the Joint Unemployed Graduates Association, the Prime Minister stated that the court process is now in its final stage.
She added that once the cases are resolved, a gazette notification will be issued, which will allow graduates to apply for the examination without further delay.
