Sri Lanka, Jan. 5 -- Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath has announced that Sri Lanka earned USD 3.2 billion from the tourism industry in 2025.

The figure comes from as the country recorded its best-ever arrivals number in 2025, eclipsing the 2,333,796 arrivals recorded in 2018.

However, the income numbers are vastly different.

The USD 3.2 billion pales in comparison to the USD 4.38 billion recorded in 2018.
