Sri Lanka, Aug. 28 -- A planned symbolic strike at Ratnapura Hospital, scheduled to begin today (28), has been called off, according to hospital sources.
The strike was organized to protest the alleged tough actions of the hospital's director and his deliberate obstruction of patient care services.
A hospital spokesperson stated that the strike was suspended because a special team from the Ministry of Health has initiated an investigation into the director's conduct.
The investigating team is currently at the hospital, gathering statements from relevant individuals.
