Sri Lanka, June 10 -- United National Party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) tomorrow, the 11th of June, to provide a statement.
He is expected to give a statement in connection with a complaint filed by former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella regarding the importation of medicines. Rambukwella had previously lodged a complaint with the CID concerning an incident related to medicine imports into the country.
Investigations stemming from this complaint have already seen statements recorded from ministers and officials of the previous government. Wickremesinghe's statement is anticipated to address matters related to the collective responsibility of the Cabinet.
