Sri Lanka, April 25 -- Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has informed, through his legal representative, that he will appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) on April 28 at 2:00 PM.
The former President was summoned to the CIABOC concerning a statement he made regarding the recent remand of Parliamentarian Chamara Sampath Dassanayake.
Wickremesinghe had previously stated that he would cooperate with the commission when formally summoned, but requested for different date as his lawyer was not available at that time.
However, it has now been confirmed, via his lawyer, that the former president will appear before the commission in person on April 28 at 2:00 PM.
