Sri Lanka, Oct. 29 -- The case against former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, concerning the alleged use of government funds for a private tour during his presidency, is scheduled to be recalled today (29).

This is set to take place at the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court.

The Bribery Commission filed the case against him for allegedly causing a loss to the government exceeding Rs. 15 million by traveling to London for his spouse's, Professor Maithree Wickremesinghe's, graduation ceremony, claiming it was a private visit during his term as President.

In connection with this incident, the former President was arrested and presented before the Colombo Fort Magistrate, who then ordered him to be remanded from August 22 to the 26. However, ...
