Sri Lanka, Jan. 16 -- Former President and United National Party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe initiated a phone call to National Freedom Front leader and former Minister Wimal Weerawansa. The conversation took place around 5:00 PM yesterday (14) while Wickremesinghe travelled from Anuradhapura to Colombo.
"What did you do to Harini, Wimal?" Wickremesinghe inquired during the exchange. Weerawansa replied that he intervened because he believed children's futures faced risks under the guise of education reforms. In addition to this specific topic, the two leaders engaged in a brief discussion regarding the current political climate during their short call.
