Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Sam Konstas has left the Sri Lanka tour to play in the upcoming Sheffield Shield match for New South Wales, with Sri Lanka calling up Ramesh Mendis for the second Test against Australia. Seamer Vishwa Fernando and top-order batter Lahiru Udara have been released from the squad.

Mendis, who was dropped after a sub-par bowling performance against New Zealand in November, returns after Sri Lanka conceded 654 for 6 in the first Test in Galle. His strong form in the Major League Tournament, where he has taken 24 wickets at 21.91 and scored 260 runs at an average of 52, has earned him a recall.
